QA Engineer

Overview: 


We are looking for a QA Engineer to test our cutting-edge Accounting Software. The person in this role will have the unique experience in working in a dynamic start-up environment and will be responsible for the software's general quality and integrity. the chosen candidate will also be involved in discussions and in the decision making with upper management, making this an incredible opportunity to experience and be apart of a growing software company. 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases to identity software problems

  • Analyze bugs and errors during tests

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

  • Identity, record and document thoroughly and track bugs

  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source or custom-built tools

  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience 

  • Liaise with management to identity system requirements

  • Works together with the software engineers to enhance and improve applications

  • Track quality asurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect count

  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Required Skills: 

 

  • Extensive experience in software testing (both manual and automated)

  • Exceptional attention to detail 

  • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Good oral and written communication skills

Optional Skills: 

 

  • Experience in software development

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies

  • Understanding of cloud service providers, especially Amazon AWS
